Job Title: Evening Shift Splicer

Hamilton Kent Inc. is seeking a skilled Evening Shift Splicer to join our team in the production of high-quality rubber gaskets.

Job Summary:

The Evening Shift Splicer will be responsible for splicing rubber strips to form circular gaskets, ensuring high-quality products that meet our company's standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe and clean working area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure mould temperature is set correctly before splicing.
  • Prepare rubber strips for splicing, including dipping, sanding, heating, and cleaning.
  • Verify rubber strip quality before splicing.
  • Load tape rolls and gaskets into machines, checking quality.
  • Insert splicing tape between gasket ends.
  • Close moulds and remove gaskets, inspecting for defects.
  • Inject silicone into gaskets and break splice seals.
  • Pack finished gaskets and verify quantities.
  • Document and record required information.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Basic English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
  • Ability to use measuring tools related to gasket manufacturing.
Working Conditions:
  • Almost 100% of time spent in the plant environment, requiring light physical labor.
  • Exposure to heat and use of light press equipment.
