This individual will be responsible for residing near London, Ontario, Canada.

The key responsibilities of this position include:
  1. Performing duties such as shipping, picking, packing, wrapping, banding, and loading/unloading products shipped to/from the head office warehouse.
  2. Reviewing SAP order queues to determine picking activities and pick orders according to specific instructions provided.
  3. Processing completed orders through electronic courier shipping systems.
  4. Assembling boxes and skids, packing goods to be shipped, and attaching packing slips.
  5. Double-checking all orders for accuracy, including customer ship-to addresses, order PO numbers, and shipping types on courier waybills.
  6. Directing delivery trucks, helping drivers load/unload goods.
  7. Determining storage areas for incoming shipments and allocating appropriate space within the warehouse.
  8. Unpacking received goods into staging areas.
  9. Inspecting and counting items received to ensure accuracy.
  10. Stocking warehouse shelves and ensuring all product is properly located and sorted by FEFO.
  11. Maintaining electronic documentation.
  12. Assisting with tracking customer orders as required.
  13. Informing purchasers of expired product.
  14. Performing inventory counts and maintaining accurate inventory.
  15. Loading finished product onto truck.
  16. Operating pallet jack and J1 Joey with license certificate.
  17. Informing purchasers of warehouse supplies to be ordered when stock is depleted.
  18. Tracking metrics on a regular basis by recording stats such as daily shipment counts, days without error, and temperature readings in the warehouse.
  19. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the shipping and receiving area according to the 5S model.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • A High School diploma or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience and proficiency with computer shipping/receiving systems, scanner guns, and/or an electronic inventory system.

Skill Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A team player attitude, able to work well in a group environment and focus on required tasks.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with external and internal customers.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, twist, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work under time constraints, governed by concurrent and dynamic customer deadlines, despite conflicting priorities and frequent interruptions.
