Key Responsibilities- Collecting medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals
- Examining patients' health condition to identify diseases and injuries
- Helping patients develop healthy habits, break old habits and reshape their approach to wellness
- Ordering laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment
- Consulting with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
- Prescribing and administering medications and treatments
- Inoculating and vaccinating patients to prevent and treat diseases
- Advising patients on healthcare
- Reporting births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities
- Being the patient advocate
- Coordinating or managing primary patient care
- Providing acute care management
- Providing counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
- College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
- Free parking available
- Work Term: Permanent
- Work Language: English
- Hours: 40 hours per week
