We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Optical Associate to join our team at FYidoctors in Penticton Skaha Lake clinic. As an Optical Associate, you will play a critical role in delivering world-class service to our patients, educating them about the best eyewear choices, and ensuring they receive the best in value and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting optical prescriptions as written by an optometrist
  • Performing frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of new eyewear
  • Placing Contact Lens orders and assisting with fittings
  • Communicating with patients in person, by phone, and by email
  • Billing the patient, their medical service provider, and other third parties
  • Managing appointment bookings, prescription printouts, and billing and payments

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing, preferably retail environment
  • Previous optical experience is considered an asset
  • Passionate about customer service
  • A high level of comfort using technology and computers
  • A great communicator who can provide exceptional patient care
