Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our clinical support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists and hygienists with clinical procedures, including preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining a clean and organized treatment area.
- Provide exceptional patient care, including greeting patients, taking medical histories, and explaining treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and billing information.
- Assist with infection control and sterilization procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest dental techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
- Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association.
- Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, dentists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
