About the Role

The Clinical Decision Support Associate will work in a team environment with QM&CDS Consultants and Specialists to support data quality and audit priorities for QM&CDS-managed systems. This includes testing plans for system upgrades and enhancements, as well as participating in analytics development projects with other team members.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be highly motivated with a creative approach to problem-solving.

  • Current student enrolled in a post-secondary Health Information Science or equivalent program
  • Successful completion of coursework in Health Informatics, Clinical Information Systems, Data Analysis, Database Concepts, Report Writing, and Communications
  • Understanding of hospital/health information systems
  • Experience with data quality assessment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access)
  • Knowledge of report design and graphical representation of data
  • Excellent organizational skills and understanding of appropriate documentation
  • Knowledge of processes to gather and analyze data and information requirements
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands
