Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Survey Party Chief to join our team in Alberta. The successful candidate will collect data in the field and work closely with our experienced project managers on a variety of survey assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field surveys and collaborate with project managers to ensure client objectives are met.
  • Provide necessary documentation to office staff, including field notes, computations, and survey data.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Perform health and safety duties as identified in the company's safety procedures.
  • Operate and maintain survey equipment, including GPS/GNSS Rovers, Total Stations, Locators, and company vehicles.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Geomatics or related discipline, along with previous survey experience.
  • Experience in the energy sector or construction is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Any valid safety certificates are an asset (H2S, First Aid, CSTS, Wildlife Awareness).
  • Physical fitness, as the role requires working outside in challenging conditions and carrying equipment over long distances.
