Location: Hybrid* in Kamloops

  • 16-20 hours/week (Casual, up to Part Time)

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Clinical Counsellor to join our team at Lifemark Health Group. As a Clinical Counsellor, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse adult population, addressing psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counselling services to clients referred privately, by employers, by various insurance companies, and other third-party organizations.
  • Adopt a goal-focussed, therapeutic approach for alleviating distress and improving social and occupational functioning.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients' treatment plans and goals.
  • Deliver quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Counselling / Clinical Psychology from an accredited University
  • Registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counselors or with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience as a Registered Clinical Counsellor
  • Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of a range of mental health symptoms with a variety of adult clients

Working Arrangements:

This counsellor would be attached to the Kamloops clinic, with the ability to work in-person on Wednesdays (8am-1pm) at Lifemark Physiotherapy Kamloops.
