Logistics Coordinator

This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a high level of organization and attention to detail. As a Shipper and Receiver, you will be responsible for ensuring that products are delivered to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble containers and crates, record contents in the ERP system, and pack goods with tape or straps to minimize shipping damage.
- Affix identifying information and shipping instructions, such as labels and markings, and ensure accuracy.
- Determine the number of trucks needed, the time required, and the price to deliver customer products.
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices, record shortages, and notify the quality department of damaged goods.
- Assist drivers with unloading goods, unpack, record, and deliver goods to storage areas.
- Operate forklifts, pole trucks, pump carts, dollies, and other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
- Ensure customer products are delivered on time and to the correct destination.
- Assist in fabricating shipments.
- Maintain knowledge of company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and management.
- High school diploma or vocational equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience completing bills of lading, obtaining freight rates, loading and unloading trucks, and operating various forklifts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts and problems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
- Health and safety awareness to minimize risk of injury from equipment.
