We are seeking an experienced Community Liaison Specialist to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. Steel River Group Ltd. is a company that values collaboration and community engagement.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to facilitate meaningful relationships between Steel River Group of Companies and Indigenous Community Partners.
Job Description:
- Communicate and collaborate with First Nations to support projects.
- Identify opportunities for cultural knowledge incorporation into projects.
- Work with First Nations and designated personnel to achieve key deliverables.
- Manage relationships and track potential partners.
- Mitigate concerns or conflicts put forward by First Nations.
- Proactively identify and communicate challenges or conflicts throughout the program.
- Maintain continuous communication and feedback with First Nations.
- Engagement activity records maintenance with First Nations.
- Liaison between project teams, First Nations, industry, contractors, etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with First Nations required.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships.
- Comprehensive computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Organization, time-management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong understanding and commitment to First Nations culture, history, and community development.
Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year.
