About the Role
SI Sacopan Inc is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety Advisor (Preventionist) to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading activities related to occupational health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety laws and regulations by conducting audits, inspections, and observations on the production process.
- Develop and deliver training programs to workers on various occupational health and safety topics in connection with our corporate health and safety plan.
- Inform and train staff on changes made and updates to various corporate policies, procedures, and programs.
- Update the various health and safety policies annually.
- Prepare and update risk analyzes for all positions and participate in staff training on corrective and compensatory measures.
- Coordinate the health and safety committee.
- Propose improvements to practices related to health and safety at the plant.
- Collaborate on specific mandates and short projects.
- Lead factory life in terms of health and safety.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in health and safety.
- Conduct ergonomic analyzes using the REBA method.
- Serve as the point of contact with the prevention mutual and ensure the follow-up of complaints.
- Perform any other related tasks.
Requirements
- Relevant training in the field of occupational health and safety or a combination of equivalent experience and training.
- Good knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and act as an agent of change.
- Excellent communicator and vulgarization skills.
- Good analytical skills.
