Job Title: Backhoe Operator

We are seeking a skilled Backhoe Operator to join our team at Wally's Backhoe Service & Truck Rental. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, conducting pre-operational checks, and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate backhoe excavators and loaders in a safe and efficient manner
  • Conduct regular equipment checks to ensure optimal performance
  • Work in a variety of outdoor environments, including snow removal
  • Hold a valid Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification and a Class 1 or A Driver's License
  • Be available for shift or on-call work and reside in proximity to the advertised location
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in heavy equipment operation is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Steel-toed safety boots and safety vest
