Job Title: Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Shift Manager to join our team at Subway Sandwiches & Salads. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for our team members to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Requisition Food and Supplies: Order and manage inventory of food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead and motivate our team members to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Train Staff: Provide ongoing training and coaching to our team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Estimate Ingredient and Supplies: Accurately estimate ingredient and supply needs to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
  • Hire and Manage Staff: Recruit, hire, and manage a team of food service staff to ensure we have the right people in the right roles.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food and service meet our high quality standards.
  • Prepare Budget and Reports: Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
