We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Ontario Inc.
Job Summary:The Shift Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff, training new employees, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including preparing and portioning food, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Train new employees on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation.
- Hire and manage food service staff.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Prepare budget and cost estimates.
- Address customer complaints and concerns.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit reports.
- 1-2 years of experience in a food service environment.
- Basic security clearance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The Shift Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to stand for extended periods. The ideal candidate will be physically fit and able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
