Sran Brothers Roofing And Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners, filling joints and nail indentations with joint compound, and installing acoustic tile and hangers for suspended ceilings.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade and a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. You will work in various locations, including construction sites and warehouses, and will be required to lift heavy materials and work at heights.

The work environment will be physically demanding, with repetitive tasks and tight deadlines. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and work a 40-hour week. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English.

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Filling joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim
  • Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs
  • Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
