About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at K & H Tile Inc. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic tiles on walls and floors, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces to be covered with tiles, measuring and marking them accurately.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place, applying pressure to affix them to the base, and aligning and straightening them to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Grouting and Finishing: Pack grout into joints between tiles, removing excess grout, and polishing the surface to a high shine.
  • Tile Repair and Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, ensuring a seamless finish.
  • Underlayment and Anchoring: Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets to secure tiles in place.
  • Material Handling: Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite, as well as mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina, handling heavy loads, and performing tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Attention to Detail: You must have a keen eye for detail to ensure a high-quality finish.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Various locations.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
