Job Summary:

The Weir Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our technology vision and strategy as the Chief Innovation Officer. This role is responsible for driving innovation, collaboration, and customer focus to deliver long-term solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Technology Leadership: Partner closely with executive leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligning with the long-term vision of being a leading digital mining productivity partner.
  • Effective Execution Management: Oversee the execution of the product and technology roadmap, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery while maintaining a focus on technological health and sustainability.
  • Collaborative Innovation and Partnership: Drive innovation both internally and externally by fostering partnerships with global thought leaders.
  • Technology Assessment and Integration: Evaluate third-party technologies and advise on competitive positioning, partnership opportunities, and potential acquisitions.
  • Market Understanding and Business Development: Deeply understand market dynamics, competition, and revenue opportunities.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical or related). MBA strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Proven ability to translate technical products and solutions into tangible value propositions for customers.
  • Leadership: Directly supervises multiple teams of engineers. Strong leadership and building effective teams is required.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Hardware and Machine Vision Technologies, expertise in Transforming Products to Customer Value, and ability to operationalize creative concepts.

Compensation: $191,000 CAD. The Weir Group is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
