Racing Clocker

At Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, we are seeking a skilled Racing Clocker to join our team. As a Racing Clocker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of horse racing events.
Key Responsibilities:- Time horses during their morning workouts, accurately recording their times and other required information.
- Identify horses prior to the workouts, ensuring that all necessary information is collected.
- Liaise with horsemen, staff, and officials to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Perform related clerical duties, such as data entry and record-keeping.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum Grade 12 Education or equivalent.
- Knowledge of thoroughbred horse racing operations and regulations is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including good eyesight and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in close proximity to horses, if required.
- ACCURACY/ATTENTION TO DETAIL; ability to focus in a busy environment.
- Good organizational abilities and computer literacy are assets.
- Good communication and inter-personal skills, including good oral and written English, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively without direct supervision and honesty.
- Must successfully pass a criminal and credit record check by the Gaming and Policy Enforcement Branch (GPEB) - Racing.
