We are a reputable restaurant seeking an experienced kitchen staff member to join our team.
Job SummaryThis role involves supporting our culinary team in the preparation and presentation of dishes, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, and contributing to exceptional customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities- Cooking and Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and plating food for service. Utilize manual and electrical appliances for tasks such as cleaning, peeling, slicing, and trimming foodstuffs.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment. Ensure all cleaning products are handled and stored safely.
- Inventory Management: Help manage inventory by keeping track of quantities of food used and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being attentive, responsive, and friendly when interacting with guests.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Training: Will train on job duties.
- Experience: Prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is an asset.
- Estimated Salary: $40,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Language: English.
- Duration: Permanent position.
