Environmental Sustainability Specialist

Ledcor is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead our environmental program on project sites. This site-based position in Metro Vancouver and Langley, BC, supports our infrastructure division.
Key Responsibilities
Directing all aspects of Ledcor's environmental program for the Project Work, including overseeing the environmental auditing program. Ensuring environmental issues and requirements are met in accordance with the agreement. Establishing and maintaining working relationships with relevant Environmental Authorities and Interested Parties.
Technical Requirements
10 or more years of demonstrated experience in a senior management position on major projects such as light rail transit construction in urban and undeveloped areas. An appropriately Qualified Professional (Qualified Environmental Professional per the Provincial Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy). 10+ years of combined education and experience in the delivery/management of an environmental compliance program. Demonstrated experience submitting applications and operating under relevant federal and provincial permits. Background in developing, monitoring and auditing environmental practices and performance. Knowledge of relevant environmental and waste legislation, standards, and effective industry practices. Knowledge of construction site erosion and sedimentation controls and BMP's. Effective communication, conflict resolution and organization skills. Must possess effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to coordinate the efforts of others to accomplish objectives. Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making abilities.
