The estimated salary for this position is $50,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

This Heavy Duty Mechanic Trainee role involves working alongside experienced professionals in the field of heavy equipment maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and technical knowledge necessary to become a proficient Heavy Duty Mechanic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Executing preventative Maintenance, including basic vehicle servicing to engine or transmission overhaul.
  • Diagnosing and repairing operational difficulties with heavy duty trucks and equipment.
  • Completing reports, work orders, order parts and perform other administrative duties.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Completion of 1st and 2nd year of certification.
  • Previous work in the waste industry is an asset.
  • Computer literate, have the ability to be trained on software systems and the willingness to learn.
