Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Perfusionist to join our team at Kelowna General Hospital in Kelowna, BC. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will provide technical support in the direct application of extracorporeal perfusion techniques, ensuring effective and safe patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide perfusion services by assembling and operating extracorporeal equipment to temporarily replace the patient's circulatory and respiratory functions.
• Conduct myocardial perfusion and protection techniques, assessing patient's physiological condition, and adjusting equipment to maintain patient vital signs within acceptable ranges.
• Maintain, calibrate, and test the integrity of perfusion equipment to ensure safe and effective functioning.
• Participate in approved interdisciplinary research and special projects, collaborating with Supervisor and other healthcare professionals.
