Average Salary Range

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

We're seeking a professional Bartender to join our team. As a key member of the bar team, you'll collaborate closely with the rest of the FOH and BOH teams to provide exceptional service to our guests. You'll learn our sought-after set of systems and procedures while working closely with your colleagues. If you have a passion for mixology and creating memorable guest experiences, we'd love to hear from you.

The Day-to-Day:

  • You'll welcome each guest warmly and with enthusiasm, making first impressions count.
  • You'll be aware of your surroundings and offer assistance to guests whenever needed.
  • You'll be enthusiastic about our offerings and share your knowledge of our menu to make informed recommendations.
  • You'll have a strong working knowledge of cocktails, wine, and beer, and enjoy sharing fun facts about our offerings.
  • You'll strive to create a fun and inviting atmosphere that makes guests want to return again and again.
  • You'll maintain accuracy and organization when it comes to managing guest tabs, ordering food, and pre-setting guests up before food arrives.
  • You'll go above and beyond to accommodate special requests or celebrations, taking food preferences and guest allergies seriously.
  • You'll be a team player, respectfully communicating with all staff and managers to ensure smooth service.
  • You'll be able to move around the restaurant with focused urgency.
  • You'll take ownership of your section, checking and maintaining beer keg and liquor levels, taking inventory, and assisting the manager with ordering supplies.

Qualifications

  • SmartServe certification is required.
  • You must have proven experience as a bartender for at least 6 months.
  • An enrolled or completed hospitality program is an asset.
  • You must have a solid understanding of wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge.
  • WSET certification is preferred but not required.
  • You should have a passion for food, beverage, and providing excellent customer service.
  • You must be able to multitask effectively.
  • You should possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • You must be able to stand for long periods and lift/move beer kegs, liquor, and wine boxes.
  • Full availability is a must.
