At Health Careers in Sask, we are seeking a dedicated Recreation and Care Specialist to join our team at the Regina Lutheran Home. As a key member of our LTC Nursing Unit - Transitional Care Unit, you will play a vital role in enhancing the physical and emotional well-being of clients/patients/residents through personal care and social/recreation/leisure activities.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced professional who can provide excellent care and support to our clients. The successful candidate will possess strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and with special needs clients/patients/residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care and assisting with daily living activities
  • Organizing and leading social/recreation/leisure activities to promote physical and emotional well-being
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Working with clients/patients/residents to identify their goals and preferences

Requirements:

  • 6 months experience in health care
  • Continuing Care Assistant certificate (CCA)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and with special needs clients/patients/residents
