Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Cleaner to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform independent cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment and hardware in the equipment train, as well as manufacturing suites/rooms.
  • Assist in the dis-assembly and re-assembly of equipment, excluding critical equipment.
  • Enter confined spaces to perform cleaning tasks, following safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure manufacturing equipment is cleaned and sanitized according to specified cleaning SOPs and document accordingly.
  • Report any injuries or illnesses immediately and notify management of any hazards, unsafe acts, or conditions in the workplace.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of wash-up areas, manufacturing suites/rooms, and equipment storage rooms, adhering to GMP standards.
  • Record cleaning activities and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Assist in weighing and setting up batches as per manufacturing work orders, as needed.
  • Verify the accuracy of manufacturing equipment, including meters, scales, load cells, and other equipment.
  • Complete all applicable manufacturing tags and documents correctly.
  • Weigh raw materials according to manufacturing work order instructions.
  • Contribute to achieving Lean goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Preferably one to two years of experience in a pharmaceutical/GMP production environment.
  • Demonstrate competencies in CPL's core values: Excellence, Rigor, Ownership, Integrity, and Agility.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer proficiency and strong attention to detail, including reading and numeracy skills.
  • Completion of required training program for Manufacturing Cleaner, as per Training Profile.
  • Demonstration of competencies with Manufacturing Cleaner duties.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • Confined space entry may be required.
  • Heavy lifting may be necessary.
  • Repetitive hip and upper body twisting movements.
  • Visual acuity necessary.
  • Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity necessary.
  • May be required to manually handle heavy cases and drums of materials on and off skids without mechanical assistance.
  • Push and pull automatic hand truck.
  • Pulling, pushing, and pumping with manual pump truck, heavy skids.
