Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team as an Automotive Systems Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with commercial transport truck systems, automotive systems, and truck-trailer systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, automotive systems, and truck-trailer systems
  • Discuss work with supervisors to ensure accurate diagnoses and efficient repairs
  • Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and test them to ensure they meet manufacturer specifications
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components to manufacturer specifications
  • Estimate parts and labor costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services, including testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer specifications
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of engine repair, electrical and electronic systems, diagnostics, alignment, steering and suspension, brake systems, fuel and emission systems, ignition and electrical systems, automatic transmission, standard transmission, drive train components, auto body repair, and welding
  • Familiarity with truck-trailer systems and commercial transport truck systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
