Project Accountant Job Description

Brock Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our team of experienced professionals. As a Project Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial accuracy and integrity of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform project accounting functions, including opening and closing projects within the accounting system.
  • Work with project managers to prepare timely and accurate customer billings and supporting documentation.
  • Engage in WIP process, including activities such as project forecast, WIP reconciliation, project cost transfers, change order updates, and adjustments.
  • Assist in collection of receivables.
  • Work with transactions involving multi-currency and tax considerations.
  • Assist in responding to external audit requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Math, Economics, or college equivalent.
  • Extensive experience populating and analyzing financial and project data using Excel.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV software would be beneficial but is not required.
  • Experience in a professional services business would be beneficial but is not required.

  • Inherent inquisitiveness to 'dig in' and ask questions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Interacts well with others - internal finance team, senior managers, and external parties.
  • Maintains confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.
  • Proven ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong team player with a focus on team goals.
  • Strong personal integrity.
