Job Title: Tile Installer

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at JPS TILES AND RENOVATIONS LTD.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing tiles in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial properties. This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles.
  • Mortar Application: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
  • Tile Alignment: Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish.
  • Tile Cutting: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Grouting: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
  • Tile Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Mosaic Tile Installation: Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile installation.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The work language is English.
