Key Responsibilities- Process medication orders for distribution to patients, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Receive and verify prescriptions from practitioners, including verbal and non-verbal prescriptions.
- Prepare and process prescriptions, including counting, measuring, packaging, and compounding medications.
- Verify order entries and perform final checks on dispensed prescriptions.
- Enter and maintain accurate records of medication verification and quality assurance checks.
- Maintain inventory and wardstock levels, including filling requisitions and identifying outdated drugs for return or destruction.
- Perform related clerical duties, such as keyboarding, answering phone calls, and maintaining medication and prescription records.
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to keyboard and operate related equipment.
- Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism reports.
