Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Welding Shop Manager to oversee our welding operations and lead a team of skilled professionals.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate welding activities to ensure efficient and high-quality results.
- Supervise a team of welders and welding technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain and repair construction equipment through effective welding and fabrication techniques.
- Optimize plasma table equipment usage to enhance daily operations.
- Stay adaptable in response to changing priorities and manage workload accordingly.
- Collaborate with other departments to support project timelines and goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Perform additional duties as required to support operational needs.
Requirements
Necessary Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in welding, including expertise in construction equipment welding, fitting, and fabrication.
- 5-10 years of managerial experience, demonstrating leadership and team-building skills.
- Familiarity with plasma table equipment and other relevant tools.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to perform occasional fieldwork as part of operational requirements.
