About the Role

Cofomo is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Quebec. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in helping us achieve our business objectives by optimizing our cloud costs and improving our financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze cloud usage and expenditure data to identify cost-saving opportunities;
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize cloud costs and improve financial performance;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and technology, to drive cost optimization initiatives;
  • Analyze cloud usage patterns and trends to identify areas for cost optimization;
  • Recommend changes to cloud service usage, pricing models, and procurement options;
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast and track cloud costs;
  • Negotiate with cloud service providers to secure better pricing and contracts;
  • Provide regular reporting and dashboarding to stakeholders on cloud cost optimization efforts.
Requirements
  • Strong expertise in cloud computing, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS);
  • Experience working with major cloud service providers, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud;
  • Excellent financial management skills, including financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting;
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams;
  • Experience with FinOps practices, including cloud cost optimization frameworks and tools;
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and their impact on cloud usage and cost optimization;
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent;
  • 2-9 years of experience in IT-related projects.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques, including data visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning;
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI, and other data analysis tools;
  • Experience with cloud cost optimization tools and platforms.
