About the Role

Cofomo is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Quebec, Canada. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in helping us achieve our business objectives by optimizing our cloud costs and improving our financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze cloud usage and expenditure data to identify cost-saving opportunities;
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize cloud costs, including negotiating with cloud service providers;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and technology, to drive cost optimization initiatives;
  • Analyze usage patterns and trends to identify areas for cost optimization;
  • Recommend changes to cloud service usage, pricing models, and procurement options;
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast and track cloud costs;
  • Work with cloud service providers to negotiate prices and contracts;
  • Ensure the creation of reports and dashboards to track and communicate cloud cost optimization efforts to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in Business Administration or a related field;
  • Have 2-9 years of experience in cloud-related projects;
  • Have expertise in cloud infrastructure, including IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS, and experience working with major cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud;
  • Have strong financial management skills, including financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting;
  • Have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams;
  • Have experience with FinOps practices, including cloud cost optimization frameworks and tools;
  • Have knowledge of industry regulations and their impact on cloud usage and cost optimization;
  • Have a strong understanding of data analysis and visualization tools, including SQL, Python, and Power BI.
