About the Role

SUN BUILDING SUPPLIES INC. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our warehouse team. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, handling and processing materials and products with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Order Fulfillment: Ship orders and pick orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers.
  • Inventory Management: Weigh materials and goods, make labels, and attach them to goods, as well as wrap, pack, and unpack goods, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Storage and Organization: Sort, crate, and stack goods, and store cargo and materials in a safe and organized manner.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a dynamic warehouse setting.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Personal Qualities: Hardworking and team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn, with a focus on developing skills and expertise in material handling and warehouse operations.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Schedule: 30-40 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
