Job Title: Part-Time Robotics Instructor

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Part-Time Robotics Instructor to join our team at RoboPlanet Education and Community Society. As a Robotics Instructor, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging robotics lessons and activities to our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement interactive robotics lessons and activities that cater to different learning styles.
  • Teach C++ coding principles and their applications in robotics, ensuring students understand the concepts and can apply them in real-world scenarios.
  • Instruct students in Scratch and WEDO programs, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Mentor and guide students in their robotics projects and competitions, helping them develop problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a dynamic learning environment that fosters creativity and innovation.
  • Stay current with advancements in robotics and coding technologies, ensuring our programs remain relevant and effective.
Qualifications:
  • A responsible and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children and has a passion for robotics and coding.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a plus.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in C++ programming and experience with robotics platforms.
  • Relevant certifications in C++ programming and robotics are a plus.
  • Availability to work at least one day on Saturday and Sunday, starting from September.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Previous teaching or mentoring experience is preferred.
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to work as a substitute teacher when needed.
  • Candidates must be self-motivated, positive, and responsible.
  • Valid SIN and legal working permit documentation.
  • A criminal background check may be required.
