Part-Time Robotics Instructor

RoboPlanet – Richmond, BC is seeking a passionate and skilled Part-Time Robotics and Coding Instructor for our Scratch, WEDO, and C++ programs. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and have a knack for organizing and teaching. Teaching experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging robotics lessons and activities.
  • Teach C++ coding principles and their applications in robotics.
  • Instruct students in Scratch and WEDO programs.
  • Mentor and guide students in their robotics projects and competitions.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a dynamic learning environment.
  • Stay current with advancements in robotics and coding technologies.

Qualifications

  • A responsible person who enjoys working in a team
  • Fluent in English; bilingual in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a plus
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficient in C++ programming.
  • Relevant certifications in C++ programming and robotics are a plus.
  • Availability from 10 am to 6 pm on at least one day of Saturday and Sunday starting from September.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Previous teaching or mentoring experience preferred.
  • Flexible schedule and willing to work as subtitute / on-call teacher when needed
  • Candidates must be self-motivated, positive and responsible
  • Valid SIN and legal working permit documentation.
  • A criminal background check may be required.

Training will be provided as necessary.
