About the Role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a key member of our care team, responsible for providing high-quality, resident-centered care to our residents. As a LPN, you will be the role model and team leader to an assigned unit, coordinating care delivery and ensuring the well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assess residents' needs and implement individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Liaise with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Administer medications and treatments within the scope of your practice.
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' physical and psychological conditions.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and care plan reviews.
  • Support the administrative requirements of the community, including admissions and confidentiality.
  • Provide coaching and direction to care staff as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program and current licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification.
  • Successful annual Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) competency testing.
  • Previous experience in long-term care an asset.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Computer skills, including basic navigation of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
