About the Role

Gill International Carriers Ltd is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team. As a Bookkeeping Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Use manual and computerized bookkeeping systems to establish, maintain, and balance various accounts.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment of benefits.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare trial balance of books and provide financial reports as required.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 44 hours per week.
