We are seeking a skilled Automotive Refinishing Technician to join our team at MicroShield Auto Care.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting repaired vehicles, planning repair work, and cleaning and maintaining the work space. They will also be required to file, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired, mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting, and apply primers and repaint surfaces.
Responsibilities:- Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure high-quality workmanship
- Plan repair work to be performed, including estimating time and materials required
- Clean and maintain the work space to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
- File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired to a high standard
- Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting to prevent overspray and ensure a smooth finish
- Apply primers and repaint surfaces to a high standard, using a variety of paints and coatings
- 5 years or more of experience in the automotive refinishing industry
- Valid driver's license and own transportation
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
