Assistant Store Leader

About the Role
The Assistant Store Leader is a key member of our store team, responsible for supporting store sales results, expense management, and customer service. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to positively influence management and staff to act in the best interest of the Company.
Key Responsibilities
- Store Operations
- Manage assigned areas of the store, including merchandising and presentation, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping and receiving.
- Implement strategies to improve store sales, expense targets, and customer service metrics.
- Leadership and Development
- Recruit, train, and develop Associates to achieve store sales and customer service goals.
- Provide feedback and guidance to resolve problems and improve performance.
- Business Analysis
- Analyze sales data and customer demographics to inform recommendations to District Managers and Business Development teams.
- Conduct competitive analysis of other retailers to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate and execute action plans to Associates on upcoming projects, targets, priorities, company initiatives, events, promotions, or any other store initiatives.
- Collaborate with District Managers and Business Development teams to achieve store sales and customer service goals.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 3 years supervisory experience in Retail, including operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention.
- Demonstrated management skills with the ability to positively influence management and staff to act in the best interest of the Company.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including interviewing, negotiating, listening, conflict management, information gathering, and coaching.
