Position Overview
The Interior Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Rural Adult Mental Health and Substance Use Worker to join our team. This permanent full-time opportunity will have you working as part of the Primary Care Network serving the N. Secwepemc communities in Williams Lake, B.C.

Job Summary
This role primarily involves working with Indigenous communities, often in isolated settings, requiring the successful candidate to be comfortable with frequent travel and capable of working autonomously.

Job Responsibilities
The Rural Adult Mental Health & Substance Use Worker functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring adults with serious mental disorders and/or substance use have access to responsive, sensitive, and relevant assessment and treatment services. Key duties include intake assessment, crisis intervention, referral, case management, psychogeriatric support, collaborative community planning, psycho-education with clients and their families, and liaison with appropriate professionals. Urgent response intervention to individuals in acute crisis, consultation with other care providers, identifying educational needs for the community, and subsequent strategies to address these needs are also included.

Scheduling Information
Shifts of work are Monday to Friday; shift times are 08:00 to 16:00 hours.
