Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish Work Schedules: Plan and coordinate work schedules to meet the demands of our busy restaurant.
- Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Order food and kitchen supplies in a timely manner to ensure that our chefs have everything they need to prepare delicious meals.
- Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead and supervise a team of food service staff, ensuring that they are trained and equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Train Staff: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for your team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Accurately estimate the amount of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize resources.
- Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit and hire qualified food service staff to support the growth and success of our restaurant.
- Ensure Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high standards of quality control to ensure that our food and service meet customer expectations.
- Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates to optimize financial performance.
- Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints or concerns to resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain Records: Accurately record and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit regular reports to management on key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Support Chef: Provide food order summaries and other supporting documents to the chef to facilitate smooth operations.
- Knowledge of Culinary Genres: Possess knowledge of various culinary genres to make informed decisions about menu planning and inventory management.
- Work Schedules: Establish and implement work schedules that balance the needs of the business with the well-being of staff.
Supervision: You will be responsible for supervising 5-10 people, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the resources and training needed to succeed.

- Bending, Crouching, Kneeling: Perform bending, crouching, and kneeling to access storage areas, retrieve supplies, or assist with food preparation.
- Walking: Walk extensively throughout the restaurant to inspect facilities, monitor operations, and engage with staff and customers.
- Physically Demanding: This role requires a high level of physical fitness and endurance to keep up with the demands of a busy restaurant.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of the job.
