Job Title: Secondary Language and Humanities Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced teacher to join our team as a Secondary Language and Humanities Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching languages and humanities to students in grades 9-12.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in languages and humanities, using the BC curriculum as a guide.
  • Develop and implement assessments that measure student learning and progress.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in teaching and learning, and incorporate new ideas and strategies into the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as languages or humanities.
  • Successful teaching experience in languages and humanities, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons, and to assess student learning and progress.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, and a willingness to learn and grow as a teacher.
