**Job Summary**
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education Department is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Mikisiw Awasis Early Learning Centre in La Ronge, SK.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement Early Childhood Program Curriculum that meets the needs of our young learners.
- Ensure the Early Childhood Program meets health and safety standards, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, working effectively with the Education team to provide exceptional service.
- Design and deliver health promotion programs, community education events, and individual/group workshops for families with children aged 0-6 years.
- Collaborate with Daycare/Headstart staff to implement Cree language and cultural programming for children.
- Act as an interpreter or escort for Cree-speaking clients, advocating and liaising with families as needed.
- Provide regular work plans and progress updates to the supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
**Requirements:**
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Level 3 ECE (Early Childhood Educator) Diploma.
- Valid First Aid/CPR, WHIMIS, and Food Safety Handler's Certificate (an asset).
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.
- Personal experience as a parent or caregiver of infants and/or young children.
- Ability to speak/understand Cree and/or knowledge of Cree Culture (an asset).
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and public relations skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check and Driver's Abstract.
