Early Childhood Education Program Manager

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Early Childhood Program Supervisor at the Mikisew Awasis Early Learning Centre in La Ronge, SK.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising Early Childhood Education Program staff, reviewing and verifying staff timesheets, and assisting with staff scheduling and on-call staff coordination. Additionally, the candidate will assist childcare staff in planning and implementing activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the program.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise Early Childhood Education Program staff
- Review and verify staff timesheets
- Staff scheduling, support, and on-call staff coordination
- Assist childcare staff in planning and implementing activities
- Ensure equipment and facility are clean, well maintained, and safe at all times
- Develop daily, monthly, and yearly plans
- Ensure staff follows personnel policy manual and childcare policies and guidelines
- Assist the Early Childhood Program Manager with administrative duties and responsibilities
- Develop and maintain current, accurate, and confidential client files
- Develop monthly and yearly statistics about number of participants, costs of equipment, supplies, and maintenance
- Ensure that the Early Childhood Education Program meets health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Attend and participate in workshops, meetings, seminars, and conferences when requested by the Early Childhood Program Manager
- Minimum of Level 3 Early Childhood Education Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years experience in managing Early Learning Centers
- Experience in developing programs for the center an asset
- First Aid, CPR, Safe Food Handler's Certification an asset
- Ability to communicate and build positive relationships with personnel, parents, and children
- Patience, caring, loving, compassionate, and enjoys working with children
- Strong computer and technology skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Valid Driver's license
- Ability to provide a satisfactory criminal record and vulnerable sector check, and Driver's Abstract is required upon hire
