Azure Cloud Engineer Job Description

**Job Summary**

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud solutions for our clients in the Banking Sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups.
  • Implement and manage Azure networking services, such as ExpressRoute, network peerings, and Azure Firewall.
  • Work with project teams to understand and accommodate application architecture and requirements for Azure networking.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure network security requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain network governance models within infrastructure as code environments.
  • Design and configure solutions in Azure using services such as Azure Front Door, Traffic Manager, Service Bus, Application Gateways, and API Management.
  • Implement and manage network monitoring and management infrastructure for availability and performance management.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience as a full-time IT professional.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and supporting Azure environments, including IaaS and PaaS.
  • Hands-on experience using the Azure administration portal.
  • Demonstrable experience deploying enterprise workloads to Azure.
  • Knowledge of at least one other cloud hosting solution in addition to Azure.
  • Intimate knowledge of Azure networking services and offerings, and best practices and patterns for Azure cloud-native network design.
  • Extensive working experience with Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience using PowerShell to configure Azure networking components.
  • Knowledgeable of cloud and hybrid-cloud implementations, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud Microsegmentation and Cloud network automation experience.
  • Knowledge of cloud tools and capabilities, such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and similar.
