Azure Cloud Engineer Job Description

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions for our clients in the Banking Sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure networking services, cloud security, and cloud automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Develop and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure services such as Azure Front Door, Traffic Manager, Service Bus, Application Gateways, and API Management.
  • Cloud Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of cloud-based infrastructure solutions, including network security, data encryption, and access control.
  • Cloud Automation and Orchestration: Automate and orchestrate cloud-based infrastructure solutions using cloud tools and capabilities such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and similar.
  • Cloud Monitoring and Management: Monitor and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions, including performance, availability, and security.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project teams, security teams, and network engineering teams, to ensure successful implementation and management of cloud-based infrastructure solutions.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience as a full-time IT professional
  • 3+ years of experience designing and supporting Azure environments, including IaaS and PaaS
  • Hands-on experience using the Azure administration portal
  • Demonstrable experience deploying enterprise workloads to Azure
  • Knowledge of at least one other cloud hosting solution in addition to Azure (e.g., Google, AWS, Helion Cloud, SoftLayer)
  • Intimate knowledge of Azure networking services and offerings, and best practices and patterns for Azure cloud-native network design, Azure firewall, azure private link, VPN gateways, Network Watcher, Azure Monitor
  • Intimate knowledge of cloud tools and capabilities (SIEM, SOAR, EDR and similar) and integration requirements required to automate cloud on-boarding and ongoing security operations
  • Intimate knowledge of Cloud Microsegmentation and Cloud network automation
  • Must have extensive working experience with Microsoft technologies
  • Must have experience using PowerShell to configure Azure networking components
  • Knowledgeable of cloud and hybrid-cloud implementations including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
