About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Ponoka IDA Drugstore. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Perform accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare and submit tax returns, including GST and PST.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports for management, including variance analysis and budgeting.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or certificate in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in accounting software.
