This is a hybrid role that requires collaboration with key stakeholders to identify and document technical requirements. The successful candidate will provide direction and make recommendations regarding technology platform choice to ensure maximum system efficiency. They will also produce detailed designs that meet Symcor's requirements and standards, as well as business and client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and document high-level technical requirements.
  • Provide direction and make recommendations regarding technology platform choice.
  • Produce detailed designs that meet Symcor's requirements and standards, as well as business and client needs.
  • Lead the development of high-level requirements and detailed technical design.
  • Support the Senior Staff Architect in ensuring compliance with Symcor's security and policy standards.

Requirements:

  • College diploma or undergraduate university degree in a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years of software development/infrastructure experience.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and data science.
  • Knowledge of automation of IT services and production systems.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes Platform and application deployment.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure design.
  • Knowledge of Application Platform Design.
  • Knowledge of Information Security.
  • Knowledge of Process improvement.
  • Knowledge of Risk management.
  • Advanced knowledge of software Development methodologies and best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of systems and software architecture.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence.
  • Knowledge of information security standards.
  • Knowledge of TOGAF/Zachman/Archimate/UML.
  • Knowledge of technology innovation.
  • Knowledge of financial services experience.
