Project Manager

NES Fircroft is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Execution Support: Collaborate with project teams to ensure the successful execution of projects, focusing on implementation rather than design.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers and team members to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to schedules.
- Field Support: Provide support for field activities, including site inspections, construction oversight, and coordination with contractors and vendors.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, track progress, and prepare regular status reports for internal stakeholders.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all project activities comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality guidelines.
- Regulatory and Environmental Coordination: Assist in managing regulatory and environmental aspects of project execution, including obtaining necessary approvals and permits. Familiarity with applicable regulatory frameworks such as ASME B31.3, ABSA, and local environmental regulations is essential.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and address issues that arise during project execution, working with the team to implement effective solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in project execution.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent.
- Registration: Must be an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or recent P PENG
- Experience: 3-6 years of relevant experience in engineering or project execution, with a focus on implementation and field support.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks, including ASME B31.3, ABSA, and local environmental regulations, as they pertain to project execution and compliance.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues and propose solutions.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with occasional travel to project sites.
Location:
- Based in Calgary, with periodic travel to project areas as required.
