We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Brant Children's Centre. This is a dynamic and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children.

About the Role

This position involves working with children aged 0-12 years in a child-care setting, providing guidance, support, and education to promote their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs, leading activities, and assisting with daily tasks such as preparing snacks and maintaining a safe environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children;
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest;
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records;
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts;
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits;
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods;
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors;
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings;
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children;
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children;
Requirements
  • A Certificate or Diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year;
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role;
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate;
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include a comprehensive health insurance plan, paid vacation time, and opportunities for professional development.
